Summary: October 8th 2025

Northern Residents: A34s (heard)

Not much to offer in this summary but the A34s did sort of keep to their routine of getting back to Johnstone Strait in the early hours, having a rub then going west and out via Weynton Pass.

The rub occurred at 2:32am on Strider Beach. It continued until 2:52am. Concurrently as part of the group finished off at Strider, the A62s perhaps moved onto Main Beach from 2:53am to 2:57am.

A34 calls in Johnstone Strait continued until 6:33am. During this time it is believed that the A34s eventually headed west toward the entrance of Blackney Pass are in johnstone Strait.  For an hour from 6:09am until 7:09am they were heard off the entrance to Blackney Pass.

A couple of hours of more travel to the west brought them into Weynton Pass and out into Blackfish Sound by 9:39am.

Nothing was heard from them until 4:17pm when they once again came into range. They stayed in range until just past 5pm.

The rest of the evening was quiet except for distant and sporadic humpbacks every so often both on Flower and Parson systems.
