What can be said about this lovely but uneventful day? Our kelp horns did not produce their magic and so we wait. Even the humpbacks today have gone to ground. Freckles and her baby were the most present although there was an elusive one or two over on the far side and sometimes difficult to see.
On the home front, we said our good-byes to Shari. She has been such a great help and with such positive energy, always. So very glad she got to spend time at Cracroft Point where she had spent many years with Megan. She is off to spend a few days with Megan ‘down island’. Then it will be further travels before she circles back to New Zealand.
It was not all good-byes. We got to welcome Justus’ family to the island. Justus was our WorkAway and like Shari an invaluable help on so many fronts. They are just here briefly but the weather is cooperating and we hope the rest of their travels in Canada go well.
We will keep this brief and hope that someone, somewhere will find the Northern Residents not too far away.
