In this section we present information about the latest developments in our project, along with news flashes about events and issues we are involved with that come from around the world. On the very local front, we will update you about Hanson Island itself and ongoing efforts to protect its forest; tell you when the orcas arrive for their summer "season"; inform you about major events that happen in the lives the orcas; and let you know when the new LIVE season commences. On the issues front, we'll update you about the ongoing campaign to bring Corky home to her family; give you the means to get involved in other "captivity" campaigns; tell you about decisions made by the International Whaling Commission that affect the fate of whales worldwide; bring you news about vital concerns like "LFAS" (the US Navy's acoustic war on whales), Japan and Denmark's horrific "drive" slaughters of dolphins and whales, and the state of court and protest actions that surround the "Makah hunt" of gray whales. We will also bring you good news stories about whales and dolphins when they occur - stories that give us hope that their ultimate fate at human hands will be a positive one.
