OrcaLab needs support
If OrcaLab is to continue its work, we need stable funding from supporters who value our efforts. In addition to our long term orca research on Hanson Island, we are attempting to provide live internet access to the wonderful sights and sounds of orcas and Nature by further developing “Orca-live” (www.orca-live.net).
Regular donations will provide us with the best and most reliable support. If we succeed in achieving sufficient stable funding, OrcaLab will continue into the future, and we will be able to continue the live video/audio webcast which was welcomed by people in over 70 countries during 2000-2006.
We will greatly appreciate it if you are willing to help us, even just a little.
The choices in the drop down menu below are as low as $5 per month. We are a Canadian charity, and will issue tax receipts to Canadian donors.
Please note that you will need to set up an account with PayPal, if you don’t already have one, in order to complete the monthly donation subscription. You will need a credit card. The process is very simple, and will take just a short time. To begin, choose the amount you wish to contribute; then click on the “Subscribe” button.

Dear Paul and Helena, I am glad I can help at this time. I’ve started my own law practice. Once I achieve some financial stability, I will be able to send more. Also, could you publish a “wish list” as to items you need that could be purchased and shipped to Alert Bay? Maybe include businesses where you could use gift certificates or gift cards? I think updating your Free Corky info could help with fundraising. The info I get when I search has the last ref to a world tour of a banner in 2001. I set up a small monthly donation so I should select a very small orca

Hello, I am a photographer and recently visited the Hakai Pass region of BC on a sport fishing trip. During my trip I observed an extraordinary display of hunting and feeding behavior by a small pod of 4 orcas. They included a large male, a mature female, and two younger whales. I took many photographs and would like to share them with someone who may be studying orca whales in this area. Can you direct me to an appropriate researcher?
